The city of Wichita's five public golf courses annually log 200,000 rounds of quality, affordable golf. Golfweek Magazine ranks Auburn Hills among the top five municipal courses in Kansas. Flint Hills National Golf Club, near Andover, has hosted the USGA Senior Championship and USGA Women's Championship. Golf Digest ranks this Tom Fazio-designed course at No. 63 on its list of America's Top 100 Golf Courses. A public course with a private experience is what awaits golfers at Sand Creek Station in Newton, which received a 4-and-a-half star rating from Golf Digest.

Andover Municipal Golf Course

Andover Municipal Golf Course is a public 9-hole, par 33 course. It was established in 1988 and is a community golf course. This mature course features six par 4s and three par 3s and will accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Andover Municipal Golf Course is a great place to hone your golfing skills and is very user friendly at working people's prices.

The scenic Sim Park Golf Course is located near the center of Wichita, in the heart of the Museum District. A favorite of generations of Wichita golfers, this winding course is nestled in the bend of the Arkansas River and offers natural beauty in the backdrop of downtown. At 6,330 yards, the par 70 course features a straight forward layout, with tree-lined fairways that lead to well bunkered greens.

Auburn Hills Golf Course was created in the heart of a residential development by renowned golf course designer, Perry Dye. Even the most skilled player will be challenged by the scenic wetlands area, rolling hills and tight corridors located throughout this stunning course. Auburn Hills hosts the web.com qualifier, many U.S. Golf Association and Kansas Golf Association events every year.

L .W. Clapp Golf Course, located in the southeast area of Wichita, is the shortest of the five public courses at 6,087 yards. The tight layout, coupled with a creek wandering through the course, creates many challenging holes. With small, vibrant greens this par 70 golf course will test the short game of even the most skilled players.

The stately par 72 MacDonald Golf Course ranks among the most popular local courses. It has been voted as one of the best public courses in the city by readers of The Wichita Eagle for many years. MacDonald first served as the original Wichita Country Club in the 1930s. It measures 6,911 yards and features fairways lined with beautiful, mature cottonwood trees.

Established in 1914, Prairie Trails Golf Course is now open to the public. Come out and enjoy 18 holes of Championship Golf. Play a Par 71 or par 72 course with bluegrass fairways and creeping bentgrass greens. After your round enjoy food and drinks in our Grill. The Grill offers a variety of food and beverages for you to enjoy after a day on the course. Make it a weekend trip and spend a day bass fishing at El Dorado Lake State Park.

Sand Creek Station is a public 18-hole, Jeff Brauer-championship course and one of his finest masterpieces! Enjoy the full-service pro shop and grill. Sand Creek can also cater to events for as many as 300 attendees.
Sand Creek Station is ranked among the nation's elite golf courses for customer service and recognized by the national golf foundation. It was 24th best municipal golf course in the United States by Golf Week Magazine. Enjoy this nationally renowned course located just 20 minutes north of Wichita.

Located in west Wichita, Tex Consolver Golf Course, at 7,361 yards, is the longest of Wichita's five public golf courses. The 72-par course is considered one of the most challenging, with six water holes and a fair amount of tree cover. The bentgrass greens and Bermuda and blue grass fairways have 54 total sand traps, and the course has a slope of 123. A driving range and full-service pro shop with PGA professional teaching provide for the needs of most golfers. Annually, over 53,000 rounds are played.
